KHWAJA Asylum. A place that is beyond any normal person’s wildest imagination. It is a place of disease, dirt, and destruction. This asylum holds those that are considered insane captive. The “normal” people say that these insane people deserve to be thrown in this wretched place. But who determines what “normal” is though? Those on the outside consider the insane folks the scum of the earth and that they are dangerous. However, they just aren’t in the same frame of mind as everyone else. They are just misunderstood. Do they really deserve to be placed in a world that has rats and disease-riddled vermin crawl across the floor constantly? Do they really want to eat unidentifiable slop? No. The best things here are the comfy, padded rooms and those fashionable skin tight jackets that make you hug yourself.
What a treat!
But the insane people aren’t the only ones trapped in the asylum from down below. There are completely sane minded individuals that are kept as hostages. Why exactly are there here then? Khwaja Asylum is also home to resident Werewolves.
Oh happy day!
Those that have two forms are immediately taken from society once they are discovered. They just seem to disappear into thin air from the public eye. Most of these “creatures” are born to unsuspecting parents. There are no traces of Werewolf in their entire lineage, yet once the babies are born, a small puppy takes their place. Other Werewolves remained unknowing of their other form and walked among society as a human for around 18 years. However, their wolf form was revealed after a strong sense of emotion overwhelmed them. The beliefs that they held dear were wiped away in the blink of an eye. The truths and reality that they knew were shifted with their forms.
The government was not going to stand by and watch people shift into what they called “blood thirsty beasts.” There were incidents when people couldn’t control their other half and killed others mercilessly, but not every single one followed suit. There are armed guards whose only purpose is to round up the Werewolves and throw them in the asylum.
Some of them wallow in their shame and let their lives pass them by. Many of them have tried to take their own lives. However, there are those who want a rebellion. They do not wish to be held captive any longer. A small band of wolves have managed to escape, and form a pack who knows where. But there are those waiting…waiting for the right moment to make a move.
Welcome to Shifting Truth…
