Appearance:
Eclipse himself is a sight to behold. He is a giant brute of a wolf, however, he isn't overly muscled. His body is perfectly in proportion for a wolf of his size, even if he is on the large side. He knows how to use his strength combines with skills of the way his body works. He always carries himself proudly, and has a noble stance, as if he himself was an alpha, dispite his rogue rank. He will not stand for being treated like scumPersonality:
His fur is a dark midnight color, as inky as a night sky without stars. His front legs have red stockings, as if he had waded through a creek of blood, and his tail-tip seems to be dipped in the same color, along with the stripes leading from the base of his tail to the tip. His forhead holds a single red circle, and his front legs have two black ones, one on each leg, facing forward, the mark of his element.
Eclipse's fur is sleek and glossy, not the usual fluffy fur of a wolf. It clung to his well-built frame, showing he had more than enough experiance taking care of himself. His midnight pelt grows thicker on his neck and tail, his most vulnerable areas. He takes pride in his unusual silky pelt, though not to the point where he's vain. His fur doesn't make him look sickly, though, in fact it makes him seem all the more noble.
His eyes are a dark color of crimson, so dark that they seem to be tinted black. They rarely ever show emotion, and to others, they are always hard, cruel, merciless. Much different from the way he used to look at others with. If he cares for you, however, you can tell from his eyes, for it's true what they say. his eyes truely are the window to his soul.
Eclipse is but a shadow of his former self. Whereas in his younger days, he lived with passion, even if that passion was used for killing. Now, though, Eclipse spends his days in a solemn trance. Little reaches him from the real world, and the little that does is either insignificant, or of such earth-shattering importance, no wolf should have noticed it. Now, Eclipse has become so twisted, he changes unpredictably between his two different personalities. Each could belong to a different wolf, yet they are close enough to each other to simply be called moods.History:
The true Eclipse is a beast no wolf wishes to meet. He lives for the hunt, whether he is hunting deer or wolves, it doesn’t matter. He truly believes that his only porpoise in life is to kill, to prove his own existence through killing. He lives for the heat of battle, the feel of blood flowing through his fur. This is the creature Shadow molded out of a pup of Darkness, the creature that still has loyalty towards his sister, despite her betrayal.
The slightly kinder side of Eclipse is still dark. He moves with nobility, after all, he is a Son of Darkness, and the son of the King of Darkness. He is curt yet polite, and tends to be blunt and to the point. He doesn’t sugar-coat things, no matter how much this is needed. He notices the simpler things in life, things not many others notice, and takes joy out of them. Darlos is his one and only god, and he would do anything if his god asked him, and would kill any who insulted the great Darlos.
Eclipse was born into a land far from where he currently resides, in a place where packs where called tribes and the gods supposedly did not exist. Born as the alpha's son in the Darkness Tribe, a tribe of war and hatred, he was destined to be the next alpha. However, Eclipse wasn't really alpha material. First of all, he was too kind for his own good. Second of all, he accually believed in the old pup stories about gods!Element: Death
As Eclipse grew up, his father did his best to train his heir perfectly, to create the perfect alpha. Still, the wandering spirit of Eclipse would not be quelled. He and his father always fought, and his sister, Shadow, soon became the favored child. Much to her enjoyment, as she believed she was more worthy to be next alpha, and hated Eclipse for that reason. Not that he cared, or even noticed.
Then one day, Shadow learned of Eclipse's secret. His plans of running away to escape his duties of alpha's heir, and to find his true place as a pawn of his god, Darlos, who he had learned of in stories. She confronted him, of course, but instead of deterring him from that path, she struck a deal with him. If he helped her gain the Alphess rank, and serve her, she would give him free rein to go and do whatever he wished without concequence. He accepted, and their long-hated rein began.
Their father was growing old, and a few weeks after they made their pact, Eclipse and Shadow's father called the tribe together, ready to name his successor. Before he could name Eclipse as Alpha, though, He put his sister's plan into action. He killed his father, ripping out his throat. SOme say this is when his heart truely turned black, others say this is whan he earned his bloody markings. Neither could ever be proved.
Eclipse had forcably taken control of the Tribe, and then gave control to Shadow. After that, his life was rather pleasant. Besides several assassination missions Shadow sent him on, he spent his time looking for the gods, or anyone who knew anything about them. Then, of course, his life once again took a bad turn. His mother had another pup, jus one, but that one could overthrow Sahdow, given time. That was someting Shadow did not want, but she couldn't soil her name with the fact that she killed a pup, the wost crime a wolf could commit.
She told Eclipse to kill his younger brother, and his mother. After all, after the pup, Shadow couldn't let either live in fear it would happen again. So instead of dirtying up her reputation, Shadow sent Eclipse to do her dirty work, yet again. He hardly had a choice. Though he was naive enough to believe life would go on as before. That was stupidity. Once the bodies where found, there was no question that it was Eclipse's work. After a a sort trial, Eclipse was exiled, almost dead, by his sister.
He went back once, just to see what became of his tribe before setting off for new lands. What he found was death and destruction. The once all-powerful and feared Tribe of Darkness was now a pitiful shadow of its former self. Wolves where sick and dying, there where no pups. Shadow was the only wolf left healthy, and she pushed her followers to their very limits, sometimes even into death. When Eclipse thinks of this, he can't help but blame himself. If he had taken the rank of Alpha, would things have been different?
After his exile, Eclipse took to travelling, looking for a place with Tribes, or Packs, that believed in his gods. There isn't much to tell about this time, other than Eclipse became battle-hardened and learned more about life than any Tribe wolf ever had before. Once he found this land with his god's history, he knew he had arrived home.
Spells:
Berserker:Roleplay sample: Other comments: IT'S ABOUT DANG TIME! Note to everyone who needs it: Fil out the Bio on a word document, then copy and paste. It saves SO much time and heartbreak. Trust me.
This is Eclipse’s spell of last resort. It drains him of all energy after it is done, as well as the stolen energy from nearby things. This spell increases his physical strength, giving him extreme speed and strength. However, he loses all conscious thought, instead he has one driving force: To kill. He is very capable of achieving that goal in this state as well. Every living thing that moves, he is driven to destroy. Not only that, but he must make its death as long and painful as possible. After the spell has run its course, though, Eclipse is left defenseless. He cannot move, after using up all of his energy, and even stolen energy, in the Berserker state. He will not be back to normal for several days, and even then, he will not be able to use this spell for many months after, or he will die from the strain.
Shadow Manipulation:
In this spell, Eclipse is able to change the shape of his own shadow and others, and use them as weapons. He can’t use the shadows of other animals with beating hearts, however. Say he manipulates a rock’s shadow. He can make it come up from the ground, and become a spear, piercing a hare or wolf. Or, he can make the shadow wrap around the creature’s neck and strange them, or any other such thing. However, he uses his mind for this, and it takes much concentration. If the slightest thing steals his attention from maintaining the spell, the spell will be broken and the animal free to attack Eclipse. Despite the concentration needed, though, this is Eclipse’s favorite Spell.
Skeletal Manipulation:
This Spell allows Eclipse to use the skeletons of creatures passed-away as soldiers. Even the skeleton of a dead plant, the dead branches, can be manipulated by this spell. This is probably the easiest spell in Eclipse’s arsenal, and the most-used. He can also take apart and mismatch the skeletons of animals to make monstrous beasts, within reason. After all, you can’t put the skull of a wolf onto the skeleton of a bunny and expect it to be useable. In addition, the skeleton must be complete, no missing bones. For this reason, Eclipse may use freshly-dead animals in this spell. The rotting flesh won’t hinder the spell, it won’t help it. It doesn’t affect the outcome in any way.
Dead Clone:
Eclipse rarely gets a chance to use this spell, but it is useful. A dead wolf can be reconstructed to the likeness of Eclipse, making a near-twin. Near, because though the coloration and fur quality it the same, the size of the dead wolf will not be changed and it cannot speak. It is similar to Skeleton manipulation, as it is nothing more than a reanimated corpse that is manipulated by Eclipse himself. It can be created from anything from a fresh-dead wolf to a pure skeleton, but any missing flesh or bones must be put with the corpse. The spell will, as you could say, ‘put the ingredients together’. This spell takes time and concentration, but can be used in succession, and the clones are valuable in battling a group of wolves.
