Her throat was on fire, even though the water around her was freezing cold. She could feel her soul slipping away, why had she sank to the bottom? The female was in her red form, her true form, as one of the custom element, she had seen many things. She had seen steel, audio and more within her life-time only to be stuck here during the war she loathed so much. Her spirit started glowing brighter, and her voice finally reached the top, drifting all around the lake. "Wolves, mortals, please come and save me from this water prison. I can help you with your quest against the ghost wolves. Perhaps give miracles" A desperate call for help. For whomever could swim down deep enough, or even declare her name as the goddess hoped for.
It was all but silent then, her eyes nearly slits, as her curled up clear form waited with such patience as she had for so many years at a time. She patiently in her rainbow of colors searched for the hope she had lost so many years ago. Kira, goddess of the custom element, the seeker of the mortals, one who walked among them. she was here, she was searching, she needed someone to save her.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,540,true] | [atrb=background,http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/6205/jythrakpsb.png] NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU TOLD ME YOU WANTED TO LEAVE NO MATTER HOW MANY BREATHS THAT YOU TOOK YOU STILL COULDN'T BREATHE NOT MATTER HOW MANY NIGHTS THAT YOU LIE WIDE AWAKE TO THE SOUND OF POISON RAIN WHERE DID YOU GO? WHERE DID YOU GO?
it was another simple night on the shadowless shores of inu island. as was his unfailing routine, the luminary could be found slumbering lightly under the watchful gaze of a waxing moon. grains of sand fled between his outstretched paws as he puffed out small, steady breaths. as a whole, the grated mixture still carried the warmth of the sky's previous king, perfecting bedding for a personal sleepy hollow. the waves had created a lullaby, a sound more familiar to theoktony than his own reflection, and had quickly eased the boy into his dreams.
in them, heroes saved civilizations and gods cared for the beings they birthed. the beasts of carvanna found familiarity in one another and acceptance was abundant. it was a stark contradiction to the world his physical form resided in. a rainbow against the storm cloud, perhaps even an impossibility. that was, after all, the purpose of a dream.
this night, however, a disruption carried through the invisible frequencies. a channel that perhaps only certain beasts were tuned into, theoktony was nonetheless receiving this peculiar alert. a voice broke through the scenery in his mind, dissipating images and painting a scene of murky stillness. maybe this was a blank screen, a picture of a mind with nothing in it. there were no shapes, no shades. just an endless gaze of dark, gloomy blue. however, theoktony couldn't dismiss it as such. this was a view of something particular, a vision that was struck a memory. he was staring into the depths of deep, suffocating water.
in the solid realm, his legs began to kick, digging at the loose sand and sending it into the air in heavy, spraying waves. the muscles in his snout twitched, pulling up the corners of his mouth in a snarl. it looked almost as though he were attempting to swim. in a moment, his lips sealed shut, and his breath caught in his throat.
HEARTBEAT, A HEARTBEAT I NEED A HEARTBEAT, A HEARTBEAT
words as soothing as a warbler's melody filled that empty blue. a plea for a help, a promise of gifts and victory. when the last few words ceased their ringing resonance, a rush of air hit theoktony's lungs and he was snatched violently from the throes of his disrupted sleep.
the white paladin quickly gathered his legs beneath him, propelling himself from his warm nest of silt and launching bodily in quick galloping strides toward the sea. all fear of the water had vanished from his soul; as had all other notions and indications. his mind was void, except for the knowledge that his goddess was in the lake of dreams, desperate for him to rescue her.
he could not sense the others of audio lineage rousing from their activities, and approaching the shores of their islands. some hung back, indecisive as to their purpose, while others joined theoktony in a senseless plunge into the halcyon waters.
theoktony was numb to the chill of the waves as they rolled past his body. when his paws failed to catch sand beneath them, he pulled his legs closer to him, and attempted a lame dog-paddle. the propulsion was painfully slow, but the calm of the sea enabled him to travel with little hindrance beyond this. as he gained distance over the waters, his limbs tuned into a steady rhythm, and theoktony traveled swiftly without realization of the gravity of this triumph.
for the first time in the boy's short existence, his paws hit the soil of mainland. even if he had his thoughts to himself, if he could appreciate the beauty of what he was seeing as he pulled himself up from the clinging waves and onto stable ground, there was no time to ponder such things. the clock was ticking, the moment was waning. he must get to the lake, he must get to his goddess.
even through stories of his youth, theoktony had never learned of where the holy lands resided in carvanna. there were no notions of direction, of immediacy, of appearance. he was as hopeless as he looked, except that what was guiding him would not allow him to fail. as if possessed, he continued without missing a beat, directed toward the heart of the sacred lands.
the trek involved some distance, wore at his paws and tired his muscles, but he refused to cease the travelling. perhaps, he didn't even have a choice. without hesitation he raced through unknown territories and strange new sights, startling exotic beasts and trespassing over royal territories. nothing distracted nor slowed him.
that is, until his mud-stained paws hit the shores of the lake of dreams.
a distant light broiled beneath the dead-still surface. its source was deep, deeper than any non-aquatic creature could hope to swim. with this thought allowed into his head, theoktony was suddenly regranted control over himself. thoughts burst into his mind, overwhelmed it, causing his heart to skip a beat and the hesitation to become paralyzing. this attempt he was contemplating could be the death of him.
it was now his choice. all memory of swimming from his home island was gone from his mind, he had no recollection of how to move his limbs and travel through water. but he knew that somewhere the ability lay within him. it was quite instinctual, after all. but the fear refused to let go of him. even if he could swim, how could he dive that deep?
but she needed a savior.
theoktony took a gulp of divine air, the cool rush of it down his throat aiding him in clearing his swarming thoughts. the rigidity with which he had been holding himself caused his muscles to ache as he attempted to relax them. in very short time, he was able to clearly consider the options that lay before him. and just as quickly, the choice became obvious.
brown paws dipped into the water, and were immediately washed clean. the ripples of his movement seemed to carry the dirt off into the heart of the lake. a new, complete calm slipped through his pawpads and up through his limbs, taking over his body. with this, came the courage to do what he had to.
theoktony threw himself into the water's depths, aimed his snout at the unseen end, and pushed his legs as hard as he could, swiftly forcing his body through the thick water and deeper, closer and closer to his goddess. it wasn't long in time that he was deep enough to become emerged in the dark of the gathered waters. there was a light that guided him, an replaceable hue that drifted up toward him. his lungs shortly then started to burn, his legs slowly began to lose their strength. what theoktony refused to run out of, however, was that determinate audacity.
he would reach his goddess, or he would die at her side in this tranquil prison.
if only he could remember, the stories of her rise and fall. if only he could remember, the exaltations of her actions. if only he could remember her name...
NO MATTER HOW MANY DEATHS THAT I DIE I WILL NEVER FORGET NO MATTER HOW MANY LIVES THAT I LIVE I WILL NEVER REGRET
THERE IS A FIRE INSIDE OF THIS HEART IN A RIOT ABOUT TO EXPLODE INTO FLAMES WHERE IS YOUR GOD? WHERE IS YOUR GOD?
'Kira!'

Kira flicked her tail, the sound of one single voice, brought up her spirits. As her eyes fluttered open and her body changed, starting with her muzzle, a light engulfed her, turning her colors from red to purple, she had almost forgotten what her true colors were, it surely wasn't the red. Her dark fur, covered in purple streaks, as her hair moved freely through the water with the touch of satisfaction set in one single soul. 'He'll down now' she thought, until her bright silver eyes turned to the wolf, she knew the scent very well. Kira must have met his father, or somewhere along his linage. The audio, it was one thing she had seen, yet right now, wind, was what she needed. She had all elements, custom and the normals ones, although the other ones were less controlled then the normals. She had mastered wind though, as she started a twirl around her body, the vortex opened up, leading a stairway up tot eh surface. Like a giant air tornado, she caught the mortal wolf in with it, to feed oxygen, he would probably fall instantly to the bottom near her though. In her mortal form she was much smaller then him. Yet with that being said, she lifted her paws, jumping off the walls reflecting off of gravity catching the wolf, until they sat upon the top of the water. She put a thin layer of thick air over the top, so anyone who stepped on the lake at the moment, would be stepping and walking on water.
She lowered her face to the mortal wolf, licking his cheek slightly as a thank you gift. Before sitting and curling her tail around her back paws. She coughed up a load of water, then relaxed, she was fine now, thanks to the summoning of this wolf.
