Sembla stood at the foot of the Mountains Algore, staring up it. She could not see the top from where she was. In fact, the mountain seemed to disappear into the clouds. She wanted to climb it. Usually, she'd be eager to get to the summit and see if there was any truth to this man-eating bear rumor, but today, she was going to do something far more important to her: go up there and make a new companion, a brother in flight. It would be nice to finally have someone by her side. Maybe that's what she's needed all these years: someone who would constantly be with her.
She took a deep breath and started climbing. Even if none of the birds liked her, this was bound to be fun! She climbed quickly, not even sight-seeing as she normally would. As long as nothing attacked her and there were no horrible storms, she'd make it to the birds. That was the easy part. The hard part was finding one that chose her. It would be like randomly going up to a person and saying, "Hey! Wanna spend the rest of your life with me?" Would any bird accept her as a companion, or wouldn't they? The thought made her nervous as she climbed the mountain.

Souldier
Among all the birds chattering on the top of the mountain, one sat in the middle of the peak. Perched right in the middle of the swarm of birds. This male golden eagle didn't associate with the others, because of how aggressive he was. He often scared away wolves searching for their brothers in flight, because he saw them as weak and pathetic. Not many caught his attention, he as he sat their with his stern eyes, it was like he was awaiting some sort of hero.
Karin
Karin wasn't the most energetic Philippine Eagle there was, but she sure had spirit. She didn't like downers, and she wasn't picky with wolves that came here, unlike Souldier. Who always drove them away, as he stood in the middle she lifted her wings and glided down next to him, only one other would join them, to use their own tests to see if this wolf was worthy of calling them their brother in flight.
Sevianer
He hesitated to join the others, being pushed to be the last. The wise old Beared Vulture didn't like to associate with wolves much. Even though they were here to guide them, it seemed he just didn't like the way they looked or acted. As the wolf came to the top all the birds scattered and silence was around, besides the three standing in the middle waiting for her to approach at least one of them first.

Sembla approached the three birds, looking all three of them in the eye. If she had to guess which one would be easiest to impress, it would be Karin, and she wanted to approach her first, but she didn't. Instead, she stopped a couple feet from all three of them, still looking at all of them.
"You are all beautiful and majestic creatures," she said, her voice more clear than usual. She wanted to impress all of them, but the first and third ones, Souldier and Sevianer, looked like they were tough cookies to crack, so to speak, though for entirely different reasons. Souldier just had this swagger about him, and Sevianer just didn't look easily excitable when it came to wolves. But she hoped, even if she didn't impress them, she wouldn't make either hate her. She bowed to all three of them.
"I am Sembla Dunham," she continued. "I'm not so great with words, nor am I exactly seen as socially acceptable everywhere I go. So..." She smiled her usual wide, toothy smile. "Which of you would like to have at me first?" She wagged her tail, waiting for one of them to either address or approach her.

Sevianer He approached the wolf after it spoke, her reasons seemed to be solid enough to be here. Although, more often then not he had heard, "I'm lonely and need a friend" or "I want a bird because they're cool" which was no reason to have a brother in flight in his eyes. As he approached he clicked his beak and looked at her. Raising an Eyebrow, "Oh, not sociably acceptable. What a bunch of bull-crap little missy. What element are you?" He asked, flapping his wings, his wingspan was bigger then the length of the wolf's body. He was a large Vulture, but a wise one at that.

Sembla looked Sevianer in the eye and smiled. "I'm an air element," she answered, then laughed that bird-chirping laughter she had. She didn't know what to make of the Bearded Vulture, but he was definitely intimidating and she bet any other wolf would probably crap themselves at his approach. He was intimidating for reasons different from Souldier, though. Souldier looked like he would have no qualms about pushing you right off the mountain, but Sevianer seemed the type that would defeat you with logic, not with physical force, and that was far more scary to her. "Believe you me, I am considered quite lacking of social graces by other packs.' She didn't mention the wolves in those packs often bored her, as did learning what was and was not socially acceptable for that pack. The one thought that scared her was that this bird would tell her that she was not good enough and she should turn back now, but she pushed it to the back of her mind. The real her wasn't nervous about most things, so she wasn't going to show her nerves now. She just wagged her tail and waited for either the next question or the next bird of prey to approach her.

Sevianer The bird as hell knew that wasn't true. Wolves at heart didn't like other wolves who had no confidence, whether their element was earth or ghost or fire. As especially since she was an Air nomad, a very special and dyeing breed. It was all a bunch of bull-crap that no one accepted her. At heart it would only be the hard facts that she didn't think she was accepted. Whenever you visit another pack, you would have to have confidence otherwise rejection was intimate.
"Ohhh, really. An Air nomad in the flesh, it was only a few ears ago when ventus left us for some pathetic pup who needed teaching. Deary, face the fact with yourself. The only reason your "sociably unacceptable" is the fact you have no confidence in yourself. That and the other wolves want to see smarts and power, if you show them your skills at first not weaknesses it's off to a good start, don't hold back, otherwise you look like some pathetic wrench."
He squawked, he wasn't trying to scare her, like he did most wolves. Yet, she seemed to interest him in some sort of way. As if, she wasn't like much other air nomads.

"I have plenty of confidence in my skills," Sembla responded, then laughed. "I've won many fights, so it's not as if I'm not powerful. And I was considered a prodigy a long time ago." She smiled, but, even though her words were true, so were his. She acted confident all the time, but really, she felt quite inadequate. That was another part of the reason she went on those adventures: to prove herself...to herself. Sounded odd, but she figured she'd gain confidence in herself if she took on wolves and other monsters and went where no one else dared go. Instead of building confidence, she became hooked on the thrill. For the moments she was on those adventures, she did feel confident, but as soon as they were over...
"I am constantly proving myself," she mumbled. It was more addressed to herself than Sevianer. She hadn't denied what he said, per se...She did lack confidence in herself, but she never showed that to other wolves. More loudly, she said, "And I think the biggest reason they don't like me is not my insecurity. I hide that really well. It's the fact that I keep getting bored with them and moving on to something else."

Sevianer The bearded Vulture eyed the wolf. "Ohh" He said thoughtfully, lifting off from the ground and attaching himself to a dead tree branch like the tons of other birds. He looked, catching the eye of a small sparrow, Swiftly he took the thing in his claws and threw it in Sembla's face. It whimpered not able to fly once it hit the snowy ground, freezing it's small wings. Sevianer watched, waiting to see what she would do.

Now that was unexpected. His "Ohh" made her wonder if she failed to impress him, but then, it didn't matter, did it? Of course, it was when he threw the sparrow into the snowy ground that she was caught off-guard. She had expected to be asked difficult questions, maybe even battle one or two of them, but not try to help a little sparrow. She mentally cursed. She knew no healing spells, nor did she know how to heat up the air currents around the thing. Still, she couldn't just leave it in the snow. That poor thing was as surprised as she was, and definitely more scared.
She bent down and carefully picked the sparrow up in her paws, putting the bird against her body for warmth until it could fly again. She looked at Sevianer, the question of, You didn't hurt this sparrow too badly and it's going to be okay, right? in her eyes, though she didn't ask it aloud. Not yet. She was too busy focusing on comforting the sparrow with her rhythmic breathing. Saying anything would kinda ruin it.

Sevianer
The beared vulture glided down in front of the wolf again. Could she not see the facts in front of her? Yet, he decided not to say anymore and flew back to the middle. Clicking his beak, he was done with this wolf.
Karin Karin flapped her wings, over her fluffy head. "Ehh, Sevvy your too harsh on the girl." She stated as she flew over, grabbing the sparrow out of her paws in an instant and perching it back on a branch where it was safe. After she glided back down she smiled at the wolf. "Little missy, you know that these tests are harder then you think, more often then not wolves get thrown off the top to their death because liitle miss depressent is over there" She said, pointing her right wing at the golden eagle that glared back at her.

"Wh-what did I do...?" Sembla wondered. She was only stopping the sparrow from freezing...well, okay, maybe it was stupid of her to keep it up against her. The perch was definitely safer for it. Ugh...what a failure she was. So much for gaining confidence in herself. She looked at Karin and immediately pushed those thoughts back. Heck with the vulture. It didn't matter what he thought. ...Right?
"He doesn't scare me," she answered honestly. Then she smiled. "In fact, I'd jump off this mountain, myself. I bet that would be very exciting!" Her eyes gleamed as she winked. "Of course the tests are harder than I thought...But that's what makes them fun!" Her personality was starting to shine through. It was just so much easier to be herself around Karin than it was around Sevianer. Maybe because she didn't feel this eagle would judge as harshly as the other two.

Karin
"Answering like that will get you no where honey." Karin told her flapping her wings and landing on the wolf's back. "Your trying too hard to fit in, it's a fact don't deny it." She told the wolf. Then flapped over to Souldier patting him on the back with a wing. "When you get to this here grumpo he might as well just rip your eyes out for trying to be friends with him." She stated. He glared at her, but didn't really say anything in return.

Sembla blinked. These birds were way smarter than she ever realized.
"I suppose you're right, but really, I found the Bearded Vulture much scarier. Physical shove off a mountain? No problem. A bird that'll rip my eyes out? Bring it on! A bird that would randomly throw a sparrow at me, then be disappointed in me for not reacting to that correctly, all the while pointing out the fact that I'm insecure? Terrifying," she answered. She looked into Souldier's glare. "No offense to you, of course." She bowed respectfully to him, then turned back to Karin. "I have been in physical fights with many creatures before, and I know how to defend myself from most attacks. It's not as scary as others looking into my very soul, I'll tell you that right now." She chuckled. Everything she said was true to her. She could Air Jump over his attack, or use an Air Shield to defend herself, but she couldn't use such tactics to avoid these birds' seeming to look straight through her.

Karin
The female Philippine Eagle hopped up close to the wolf again. Swaying around her grabbing her head with her wings to lift herself around the wolf. It was quiet easy, she took out one of her feathers from her head a skinny white one and compared it to the wolf's fur. Karin then threw the feather away off the mountain and looked at the wolf. "Your one strange girl.....Your the first to come here with that kind of attitude. That and, little miss speechless seems to be a bit out of character. I wonder if he likes you, that would be a first." Karin said with a bit of a laugh.

Sembla was a little nervous when Karin hopped up close to her. What kind of impression did she leave on the Philippine Eagle with her last comments? Then the eagle swayed and grabbed her head with her wings, lifting herself around Sembla. Curious, this action was, and she wasn't sure how to react. It was then she took a feather out, comparing it to her fur, then threw it off the mountain. What on earth did that mean? She watched the feather disappear below her. Indeed, this was quite a drop, but it wouldn't kill her to be pushed off. She'd be able to manipulate the air currents to save herself in case she was. Speaking of manipulating air currents, she did not let the feather keep falling for long. She manipulated the air around it, making it hover just at the very corner of her vision and dance. She hoped Karin wouldn't mind. She was just nervous, and playing with air currents helped calm them. She wanted to ask Karin what her actions meant, but decided against it, instead listening intently to what she said.
When Karin mentioned Souldier might like her, might, she beamed and wagged her tail excitedly. "I always did have a unique attitude," she commented. Did she look foolish with that smile of hers and her tail wagging? Probably. Did she care? Not in the slightest. Just the possibility of one of them liking her was enough for her to think the trip was worth it.
