Velvet enjoyed this land, yes it was pretty. As birds flew back and forth she layed in the fields flicking her tail up at them. Following a hawk with her eyes as it flew beyond the mountains. It was warm, spring would sprout soon and she would not wait. Christa for that matter could not wait. The younger female was hunting at the moment off, wherever Velvet could not see. So Velvet had time to enjoy herself in the sun. "I wonder if they have chosen any knew collectors for this holyland" she told herself with a sigh it was kind of boring without Christa here.
Christa was off hunting, her haunches pressed up against her skin as she watched the bird. She jumped at it, yet it flew off without her noticing. It must have meant she wouldn't be able to hunt the birds here, that or she was not very good at hunting flying creatures. Christa enjoyed not having powers, it made her feel normal unlike some. Because Christa herself, did not believe in the gods and did not understand powers, she thought of them as an illusion. Yet, she would still act like she believed otherwise she would looked down on even more then she was now. Christa sighed, what was she going to catch for food now?

The birds where so sweet, adn the two fae so carefree. For now. Still, even the dark male that observed them was unsure of whether or not to kill them yet. Truly, he should before he became too attached, but in watching them, he felt something stir inside of him that had not stirred since he left the tribelands. He did not like this feeling.
He finally stood, making his way slowly towards them. He would speak to them first, before they die by his fangs. He was tired of his eternal loneliness. He would help ease the pain by speaking to the females before him now. The sickly one, who would be easy to end, and the lighter one, who could not hunt. Her skills as a killer where novice-level.
As he approached, the large wolf began to move slower,to both create the illusion that he was older than he was, and to not startle the pack wolves. He has learnt that wolves used to being in a group don't need to learn when another wishes you harm or not, due to the fact that the cowards had numbers on their side. "Good evening, madam," He said to the fae had had come to, the one with her pelt tainted with many different colors. He could not tell who she owed loyalty to. He stood in silence, awaiting her responce.

Velvet flicked her tail more in annoyance to the male that approached her. She was not stupid, nor dumb, no loners knew who the alphas were so she wouldn't expect any less. "I don't need any crap from you mister, if you think my little innocent look is enough I'll tear you to shreds. I'm not the alpha of Kuki for nothing." She hissed. He just had the aura flowing from him, that he was not the type to be friendly with. Even Velvet enjoyed tricking others when she wanted. She was kind to the weak and a bitch to all those bastards who didn't know how to handle their lives with nothing but killing. Velvet snorted and put her head on her paws. "Sit, child of the darkness" she beckoned flapping her tail on the space next to her.
Christa perked her ears at the sound of more prey. She hobbled over and crouched down, this time is was a rabbit. Yet, with this she would be able to catch it. She just didn't like birds. She got closer, until she heard Velvets silky smooth voice, like a ribbon of thread. She sat, and listened, she knew the both of them would not be able to see her.

The dark wolf stood stil, his lip involuntarily moving up slightly. Not enough to be noticed, in fact, if one saw it, it could have been imagined. He looked down upon the fae, silently debating whether or not to just kill her now. She obviously was not good company, but that was probably for the best, in any case. Still, best to sooth the fae's suspicions before proving her right. Surely, this sickly fae would be no challange for him. After all, he was in his prime, and if the supposed alphess where to resist, he could always hold her down with his shadow.
"And who said I was here to start something, madam? I'm simply a loner, wandering the lands," He said, trying to be civil. Really, this fae tried his paitence. He watched her closely as she glared at him. She finally motioned to a spot beside her, as she told him to sit. Now, he really didn't want to, but perhaps learning more about his prey wouldn't hurt. So he moved to sit, watching the pack wolf carefully. "Truly, madam, you don't look to be able to make threats, expecially to one larger than yourself, with unknown abilities.."

Velvet almost laughed at him. "Oh sure you are, oh so innocent loner. And I'm a box full of chocolates. Plus I doubt you should say that to me mister, I may not look it but I'm not only a master of assasian element I was the first with the element and taught by the goddess martial herself." Velvet said putting a paw on her chest like it was a big deal, and for some it was. e said he had unknown abilities but she could care less. His aura which most wolves with life or assasian element could see was dark. Some sensed it, some saw it, Velvet could sense the darkness from him. It wasn't classed as a spell since any wolf could actually learn it regardless of their element. "Plus, a Wolves aura never lies mister I'm a bad ass killer." she replied as he sat down next to her.
Christa was surprised at Velvet. Normally she got really pissed off at dark auras and kicked their ass. Yet this time, she was inviting him to sit down next to her. It was strange, maybe Velvet was more sick then she thought. But, she wasn't going to bother her foster mother just yet.

Eclipse smiled darkly, his teeth sark against his dark pelt. "Now, I didn't say I was innocent, now, did I?" he responded, then his smile disappeared, and he was back to his hard, cold self. "Am I supposed to be intemidated by that?" He asked, amusement shining in his crimson eyes. If this fae believed that she could scare him, the bringer of death, she was sorely mistaken. None would frighten him, unless Darlos wished it. He has not, as of yet.
Still, this sickly fae showed no sign of aggression, and the other female that he had seen on the way here has not yet appeared. There could be no danger here for the pup. He looked back to where he had come from, letting out a loud bark. He almost never barked, yet when he did the bark was filled with promised menace. This one called for an unknown accomplice, the pup that he had grown rather close to.
Out of the shadows trotted a small brown wolf, the size of a yearling wolf, dispite her age. She was never very big. He wolf hurried over to the larger Eclipse, and buried the right side of her face in his silky fur, not for comfort as their company might see it, but to hide her scar from disapproving eyes. She glared openly to the sickly-looking wolf, wondering why her protecter didn't just kill her now. She was too uppity for her tastes.
As the sickly alphess insulted Eclipse, the young brown wolf bared her teeth, though half of her face still stayed in the safty of his pelt. "It's too bad that you're so sickly then, egg-sucker," She snarled, using one of her best insults. Egg-sucker was inffering that one was too weak to hunt anything, and was cowardly enough to end a life before it began. and Egg-sucker was seconded only to a pup-killer, in this pair's eyes.

Velvet watched as the newcomer came, she was not phased by her words she was never phased by words at all. Velvet had known too much of it, it may have hurt the soul but hers was covered in titanium armor from things like that. "Perhaps I enjoy being an Egg-sucker little missy." Velvet said as she watched her bury her face in Eclipse's fur. It almost seemed like she was his little sister or something like that. Velvet could feel at her paws emitting a shadow. As it reached both of the wolves and slowly started up Eclipse's legs. Although, if he had some sort of sense he would be able to feel it. She wasn't trying to attack him or restrain him it was something that she kept private to herself at all times. Velvet rested her head down, what was she going to do with these two.
Christa was listening still and the bunny ran away, but she could care less. The small puppy like 2 year old poked her head through the trees to see them, but still kept herself hidden. It seemed strange for Velvet to be like this, after all normally she would just kick their ass, she could do that if she wanted. Christa blinked and put her muzzle on a fallen tree trunk sitting down to see what would happen. Hopefully she would not get discovered.

Eclipse held Velvet under an iron stare as she blew off Azrael's verbal insult. The pup had a tongue that could skin the gods at times, but she really didn't know when to choose her fights. His blood-tipped tail landed gently over her paw, warning her to remember her place as he watched the Kuki alphess. After Shadow, he held no respect or trust for those of such a rank. They where creatures to be hated.
As teh darkness began to creep towards them, he noticed almost instantly. Not because he was watching for that, no, but because he was keeping tabs on the shadows around them, trying to sense any approaching. A paw in the shadow would be a speck of light in the darkness, a blind spot in his sensory. Still, to deal with this threat? simple. Eclipse make his own shadow into a small, almost unnoticable sheil near his and Azrael's paws, and mimiced the movement of velvet's shadow up his paws, in a frail attempt to trick her.

Velvet could sense that there was something odd about the shadow near azreal, but she ignored it and smiled. Standing up a bit wobbly on her fet she turned toward eclipse "question your friend over there is a ghost element does that mean minlo has her under manipulation?" She asked. The aura was blue and deeper inside was a reddish color fighting inbetween a green. Velvet guessed it was so she was a fighter but being controlled against a gods iwll was like trying to catch a thousand birds in 10 seconds. Velvet thought there was definitly something strange about these shadows but tried to shake it off. Could it be that eclipse was a shadow controller as well but not of the assasian kind no velvet pushed the thought away and waited for the wolf to answer. Not even noticing that christa was watching.
Christa tilted her head at them this was very strange. The creamy colored wolf twitched her tail she hated it when people picked on velvet. After all when christa was made fun of velvet would rush to her rescue and punish the others. The least she could repay her by helping her get over this sickness plaugued on her by the gods. Christa pulled her ears back she should go in there and help but it would only result in her in getting hurt or getting velvet hurt in a worst case sernaro.

Eclipse eyes the sickly Kuki Alphess as she rose. Sickly or not, Eclipse did not trust her. Ever since Shadow, he held no trust nor respect for those of such a rank. They cared for none other than themself. When she questioned Azrael, though, that started to set him off. The fur on his neck began to raise, and he stood, placing a leg in front of the tiny two-year-old to hide her from veiw.
"Wouldn't you like to now," A muffled voice came from behind Eclipse's leg, and the brown face of Azrael pooped out, just as defensive as Eclipse. They accually looked liek they may be related, in fact. Their eyes shone with twin menace, a promise to respond to trouble with even more trouble. Neither noticed that the scar was now visible, they where too busy going onto the defensive.

"Oh I would, enlighten me on how much of a failure you are. How you didn't have the strength to match up to Minlo's insanity that he let himself be a victim to from his blackened heart of pain and rage" Velvet said sitting down. She could care less about the scar on the females face, it didn't phase her by much. The alpha could not be allowed to die here, not with an entire pack to look after an entire family. Velvet yawned, this was starting to bore her, more then she thought it would. "Well, do whatever it is your having to do with me, just remember all the higher ups will be angry at you let alone Christa. It's easy to tell she's here watching us, she is still much a pup and has a lot to learn. I'm the only one who can teach her after all, she has no elemental powers, no odd colors, nothing more then a sad old normal female waiting to learn to become better then us elemental wolves" Velvet said.
Christa watched closely and was about ready to jump in and help the alphess, but then things took a turn. Christa tensed when she heard what Velvet had said. She lowered her ears and slunk out scared of the other two. She was pathetic after all, she felt that it was needed for velvet to teach her, to make her stronger and better.

Azrael stepped forward, snarling now. This wolf had hit a sore spot, and Azrael was not going to let her get away with it! "Listen here, egg-sucker! I don't care who you think you are, or how frickin' improtant you think you are! You don't know anything about me, so don't make the ussumption that you do. You know nothing!" Azrael's voice seeped with venom, her eyes filled with hatred. Spirits watched her, and she saw them out of the corner of her eye. SHe allowed her attention to stray, looking among the spirit-wolves, glad that her unstable emotions hadn't atracted Minlo yet. In one of the Holylands, it was easier to lose control and accidently summon Minlo. She closed her eyes, trying to regain control. She didn't want Minlo here, and to prove to the alphess that she was right, she was weak.
Eclipse carefully watched the exchange, unwilling to step in. After all, the pup picked her fight, she should handle her own wars. Still, as she began to lose control, he stepped forward, placing his nose on her head to comfort her before raising his eyes to face Velvet. As another wolf, creamy white and still covered in puppy fur just as Azrael was, stepped out, Eclipse felt it was his turn to speak.
"I do not care how self-important you feel, alphess. All I see is a sickly fae and her pup. I am a death wolf, and always have been. I do not believe Darlos would object to my giving him yet another soul. It is the way of life, so why would the gods mind? You will die one day, and it is foolish to think the gods care of you more than any other wolf. You live now, just as you will one day die, and not even the gods can stop that. As for the pup," He cast a ice-filled gaze at the younger wolf, though he spoke to Velvet, "I do not doubt that one day she may grow to be a fighter. Yet if I were to kill you know, she could do nothing but shake in rage. I fear her not, just I am fearless of your arrogance."
His cold gaze now cut into Velvet once more, but now it held mockery. He knew every word of what he said was true. All alphesses where the same. They believed they knew everything the world had to offer, they did not care for the lessons there still was to learn. They where self-centered and arrogant, and this Alpha was of no exception. He carefullybegan to work the shadows of the trees around them, using his own shadow to visibly create a sheild. Yet he did nothing else with the other shadows; He'd wait for her to attack first. For awhile.

Velvet did have slips of the tongue every now and then, she boasted about herself realized her mistakes. Yet, when she looked at these two it was different, in a strange way she wanted to obtain the power to match up to them. If it wasn't for this curse set on her by Martial she wouldn't be in this condition that she was. She hated the gods truly she did, she did not care if they card for her or not. They betrayed her, turned her into nothing more then a dirty old hag. Yes she would die one day, but it would not be today, it would not be in the service of the gods either. It would be for the sake of passing knowledge down to Christa, that once you swear loyalty to a god you are their servant forever. If you turn away and quit, this was what happened. Nothing more then a scraggly old hag who is skilled with her powers alone, with her slips of the tongue and pathetic rambles. Her ability to do nothing more then give herself up to sacrifice. This dark angel that sat in front of her knew as much as he should, he was smart as he should be. A dark angel that served the night under the lord of his god, it pissed her off, but something made her feel a bit funny about it. Velvet closed her eyes and pulled her head to the side, she opened them again and stepped closer releasing her shadow hold completely as they melted back into the ground. She came eye to eye with both of the wolves.
"Damn the gods, I don't think of myself as special. I've lived, I have witness death, I have killed. Yes, death is natural, but I am not. The gods are damned fools one day to be consumed by their own selfish needs as we all are doomed to. True, I may not know you, the slip of my tongue has my apologize in it, but you don't want that. You only want my blood, to feel it over your tongue, to know that my spirit has left this world to join the hell of Darlos and the underworld. Well you want to know something, the world is crumbling, it's seeping in with something not even I can understand and it starts within one soul and one soul alone. Your strength and power is great, but the black mist has more to it then just Minlo. Go there and find out for yourself if you wish, Dark angel, and one who is lost within the control of her own unnecessary mind. Yet, if you truly want to know more, stay and listen to me, for I am not on the side of good or evil, I could care less if you were rotting away at the soul. You head my words because I picked you for it, no one else, pathetic wrench that I am." The words slipped off her tongue smoothly, more then she thought they would. As her eyes traveled to the young Christa who was cowering, only listening to their conversation.

Feel the pain that I never show And I hope you know, it's never healing
Eclipse watched the alphess carefully. She seemed to speak the truth, but he couldn't really bring himself to believe her. Not after his sister betrayed him. He could trust no one. Yet... Yet the temptation of furthering his quest was too great to resist. Azrael would also feel this he was sure, but to a greater extent. After all, the reason she was with him was so he could help her get free from Minlo's control. So, it was decided. He would hear her out, then judge the truth of her words. "Very well. I will hear you out. Speak."
Azrael was no longer rigid and ready to attack. Instead, her form was now shaking with hardly-contained excitement, not uncommon to a pup of her age. She wanted so desperately for what Velvet had to say to be true, and to help her. So, so desperately. She wanted it to be information that would help her break free from Minlo's grasp, to help her destroy him, like he distroyed Kitsune. How he destroyed her, and gave birth to Azrael. Oh, how she wished she wouldn't take so long to answer Eclipse!
Some things can't be treated So don't make me, don't make me be myself around you

Velvet let a rush of air out and sat again, looking at christa. "Now that your attention has been gained, listen well, for I will not repeat myself boy. There is more the this minlo control then some think. There is a wolf, or whatever creature it may be hiding in the mist to be said that it is fallen prey to the mist. It is said that it used to be of the ghost element, but lost itself to Minlo. Yet, the longer Minlo had control of it, the more it shaped itself into something else. I don't know any details for sure, but it is a creature of the night, who goes by it's own rules and is no longer a wolf of our elements. More like, a vampire, but not. Yet, if you want to find out for yourself go to the mist. If you wish not to believe me then that is your choice. Yet, that is all that I can tell you." The alphess said. Then she got up hobbling to her feet as Christa instantly came to her aid. "I'm leaving, I'm done toying with you." The alphess said and turned as both her and christa started off.
Christa looked back at Azrael and pulled her ears back. It was sad that what was happening to the ghost elemental wolves. How these illusions in the world made them think they were going insane so they did. Christa was just lucky she didn't believe in any of this stuff, on the other hand she wasn't lucky. Because if Velvet knew, she would probably get killed in the first place.
