Slinking through the marshy darkness, Shadow struggled to find the scent of the deer herd she had been hunting. She huffed, giving up. The land was too wet, the trail too stale, and she didn't have Zmey or Akatsuki with her tonight, so it was unlikely she'd get a kill, even if she was able to track the deer down, which was unlikely itself. She stood in the darkness, taking time to listen to the mingling songs of frogs and cicadas. Cicadas where always early here, where water and food was abundant. Though Shadow could still see traces of her breath in the air as she breathed, and the water was a chill as ice.
She began to wander aimlessly, just to get the blood pumping in her paws once more. She was soon out of the water, which was only up to her toes anyway, and on dry land. She began to groom herself, getting rid of any and all burrs, thorns, and ticks that had tangled in her beautiful midnight fur. When she finished with that, she began to lick her tiny paws dry, throughly enjoying the grooming, though it was in a semi-dangerous area, so close to the territory boder with the Inu. Her ears suddenly perked as she tought she caught the sound of splashing. Her icy orbs scanned the darkness for whatever was sharing the night with her. "Who's out there?"

A black wolf with green markings headed toward the border of which Inu shared with Kuki. He hated how the Alpha of the pack seemed to think he could order him around. Wasn't he just a rank lower? Shouldn't that give him a right to order other around as well? This was specifically why he was constantly disappearing and studying other packs. The darn alpha never left his back. Creed knew the only way to take the darn Alpha down is to get faster and stealthier. That of which he seemed to have problems doing. Ever sense he fought the omega the secret assassins refused to train him any further. He was just left with the most simplest methods. It did not seem right. he growled as he stepped into the cold water and headed toward the Kuki border. He knew the water would hide his Inu scent and they would possibly accept him. He was skilled in the mouth and brains.
He made splashing noises as he got out of the water. The coolness from the time of day filled his nostrils making him wonder why he dared go into the cold water. It would probably give him a cold. He heard a voice that sounded simialr to that of a threat in the distance. "The water monster."
he replied with absolutely no emotion. He made it almost sound like a threat himself. He shook his fur to get all the water off of him. He smelled the air detecting where the she-wolf was. He followed the scent and decided to study her and her reaction to him. He decided to stay calm and act very nonchalant. [/blockquote]

Shadow growled at the answer this strange wolf gave her. He had no right to speak to her in that tone! She was the Beta of the Kuki, and the great Shadow, faithful servant of Minlo! This tresspasser wasn't even good enough to lick her pads, and he dared speak to her in such a manner? Her eyes flashed angrily, but she held herself in check. She needed a better story to tell Velvet if she was to kill this brute. "Be careful, ungrateful brute. You're on my territory. Now what do you want, before I lose my patience."
Shadow said, only her posture showing her deep annoyance. Her tone was just as icy as ever. She wonderd if this male was a loner that had been trying to hunker down unnoticed, or a pack wolf trying to invade. She could smell nothing on his fur but water and reeds, but that may have been because her finely-tuned nose was numb from the cold. She refused to think it was from her own shortcomings. Still... even she had to admit, this strange wolf was rather attractive. To her, at least.

Creed noticed the flash. He of course pretended he did not. He just kept his head high as if he to were in her position and power. Though in technicalities of elemental powers and whatnot.. He was higher.. Though all and all depending on how you look at it.. He was most likely lower.. But not that much lower. "Hmm.. What I want? Well.. Considering I'm standing on this very territory. I believe I am doing what I want."
He replied as if it was obvious and that she ought to know those facts. He just wanted to see her reaction. One of defiance and intelligence. It was a test of course. Everything in his world was a test. He moved from where he was. Not caring that she would attack him. He just walked right up to her. He ignored any response she gave and looked her straight in the eyes. His wet pelt not at all slowing him down or seeming to effect him. His warmth was mostly captured.. There was of course a small winter breeze... It did make his tail at the very end quiver but he fought the freezing weather best he could.[/blockquote]

Shadow pulled her lips to uncover her white fangs, stark in contrast to her dark fur. This brute was trying her patience, and in a way, she enjoyed it. Finally, a challange fit for one such as she! If only she didn't have to play her Beta role, then they could have some real fun. But as it was... Shadow could not allow it. "You try my patience, wolf. What is your name, and purpose for coming here? Velvet and I do not take kindly to trespassers," She said, her tone just as icy calm as before. She had the feeling that this brute was testing her. Heh, if he wanted to push her limits, he'd be in for a rude awakening. She had remained civil due to her rank so far, but before long, she'd have an excuse to take him out. Oh, the possiblities... And any story would do, Velvet was so gullible, the sickly alphess would believe anything Shadow told her. She had Velvet wrapped around her paw, or was it eating out of her paw? Oh, it didn't matter!

Riley was in the trees, hidden easily by the leaves of spring coming on. She blinked as she watched the wolves below her, flipped her tail back and forth with eyes locked on the inu wolf. "Ventus he's doing it again that Creed guy. He must be mad at Theo" She said talking to the red tailed hawk that was on her back. Ventus looked below at Creed, "Oh, and you're even more to blame spying on them like this little deary" The bird said to her. Ventus flapped off her back and sat on a bush looking at the two wolves, they wouldn't be noticed from here let alone higher up.
Riley grumbled a bit but swiftly she climbed higher into the trees until she could see them clearly as shapes below. Ventus flew along with her perching on the branch next to her. "I wonder what that other wolf is going to do?" She wondered. Ventus sighed, "There you go again nosing your way into others business" He muttered, knowing clearly that Riley wouldn't listen to him about that kind of stuff. Riley flicked her tail and smile, maybe it would turn into something interested for her to jump into.

Creed watched as her agitation seemed to grow and fast. As if she truly planned to attack him. Which he was one hundred percent sure she was. He looked at her closely knowing she would be thrown off guard but many tactics.. But he just couldn't pick the right one.. Yet he knew which tactic to use. If it failed.. Hey there's always tomorrow.
He thought of the possibilities of what should he do if the she dog was to attack him. Which with the flash in her eyes there was no doubt. He knew he could just state his position and then go to some made up story. That just didn't seem fit for this situation though. Why should this she-wolf care that she is dealing with an Inu? In some pack eyes Inu are lower then rogues. Very rarely though. It still however happens.
He felt his body give another quiver. The water seemed to have had a bigger effect on him then he thought it would. He should've probably have waited to pull this stunt in warming weather. He knew never to do this again. Then.. Wasn't like he planned for the she-wolf to be here. He just simply swam ashore... He calculated how far he would get into the water before either freezing to death or tiring out. Spring.. The time of snow ending.. What was he thinking? Obviously not strategically. "You want to know my rank. I am Beta of the Inu. I have seeked shelter from this freezing weather has seemed to suck into my fur."
With that said he paused taking in the she-wolf once more. He had a big disadvantage. He could tell from the looks of her back legs he may no stand a chance. He would be slower from the cold. His mind was already drifting in and out as it fought conscience. It was absolute now. He can't turn back. "If you want to refuse another wolf shelter I will turn back and die. Otherwise I believe have rights." He dropped his head a little to show his life was in this she-wolf's paws. He just was in no position to challenge her any further. If the chill was to lift he would question her and challenge her and do everything to figure her out. The best it seemed with this she-wolf is to lie low. Though it was obvious she wanted a challenge and badly. He if he was forced to. May just have to do that. Possibly use the cold for adrenaline rush or something.[/blockquote]

Shadow froze, lettig her mask slip for a moment. For that moment, she looked like the confused young wolf that she would have been, had she not fallen into the insanity that Minlo projected. This lasted only a moment, only long enough for it to be a trick of the eyes. She then reverted to her normal proud self, sneering down at the shivering wolf. Any tiny bit of respect she had aquired for the handsome brute dissapated. He was nothing but a low-life, an omega posing as beta. Oh, how she would have liked to end his pathetic life. He had led her on, pretending to propose a challange before jerking it away.
However, he had claimed to be beta, and if Velvet became aware of the fact that she had killed him without her consent, that would be disaterous. The unfortunate even was that now, Shadow had no choie but to turn him into Velvet, in the case that he accually was beta of the Inu. She drew herself up, and in all her proud coldness, she looked like a goddess giving judgement to the damned. "You have no rights, lowly omega. You willingly gave up any rights you had when you crossed into the territory of the Kuki. You are our prisioner now, by the command of the high beta Shadow," She said regally, walking around him, so she stood behind him.
She nudged his rump, a sign that he should move. Oh, she couldn't kill him now, she didn't even get a proper challange to exersize her lazy mind, but she would be rewarded handsomely by taking this brute to Velvet as prisioner. She had not been born here, in the kuki pack. It had taken her quite a long time to claw her way up the pack ranks, and gain the trust of every wolf in the pack, even that suspicious omega. This would help her get one step closer to her greatest reward. To become the great alphess of the Kuki, to kill Velvet!

Riley hoped around the trees like some sort of snake, were they going to leave now? She didn't want them to, as she jumped to a tree behind Creed she sank down, slithering into the ground, hidding behind the tree as she poked her head out, then turned and whipped around to another, making sure she was keeping herself hidden with the help of the wind. Ventus followed, flapping his wings and making twists and turns easily through the branches. Riley was sure as enough going to get herself into some trouble, why was she so interested in this Creed character in the first place? Why not become more involved with the alpha, not the beta. Riley, sank into the ground more, coming around to the females side, she watched her, her movements. Then sank around back over to behind Creed. Her snake movements made her hard to follow that was for sure.
Ventus stayed on the lowest branch watching Riley, she seemed to be observing them, the question was why? The bird flapped and landed in the middle of the two of the wolves, he didn't say anything though he just stood there like a normal bird would. Although he wasn't native here so they might think something was off. If they did, then Riley of course would come to his rescue, despite her age and mental age, she was strong. Also with his strength, he wasn't just some stupid bird like he was playing to be.

Creed watched the she-wolf as for a split moment her mask of harshness fell to innocence. A part of him knew that it was fraud. That this she-wolf was cunning and highly intelligent. There was something about her that reminded him of himself. He knew she was, one not to be trusted with life. he also knew she held a deep dark secret that was tearing her apart. Just like him. These little facts that he figured from her movements and masks... Well he felt himself drawn to her and her little games. This one game may just take them to the top.
When the she-wolf spoke not believing him. As she continued claiming he was some lowly omega, he could not help to think, she was on as well. as she bumped him on the rump to start walking, he didn't at first comply. He just stood and stared into her deep eyes. Then slowly broke his bright green eyes from her staggering icy blue eyes.
As he walked further down the path as her thoughts started to pick up. He saw flashes within her mind of her doing things to build up her rank. He saw her happily betraying her tribe to become the high position. She was going to use him to do it. He saw the same himself within the she-wolf. He decided to play along and be her little toy. It would get him great awards of both power and warmth. This she-wolf was certainly one of interest.
As the continue down further his little Daemons, the both of them appeared at his sides. One was red with sharp eyes and six legs.. It could easily contract two of those legs to look normal though it refused not to. Unlike its brother. The red one had black stripes on its back and it preferred walking on twos rather then fours. It really had a mouth. As for its sister. She was blue with light blue underbelly and stripes. His ears represent bunny ears that can either drop or rise. He preferred to walk on all fours and on the right side of Creed. They both spoke quietly discussing what Creed was doing."I'm telling you. He is planning to warn the this Velvet alpha wolf." The red one cocked up and rolled his eyes. "You are a fool. He is planning to take advantage of this. Ain't that right pal? Oh yeah. Your playing the quiet game. Your always observing the enemy. I can tell. Your so crushing on her. Hey! Look at me! Oh come one!"
The red one suddenly stopped and the she-wolf who was holding Creed Prisoner stepped through him. "Watch it! I'm walking here! Mandgey traitorous mutt!!" Both Creed and the blue one just rolled her eyes and continued beside creed on his right-side. She kept quiet most of the time. The red one that was left behind heard a movement behind him. "Oh lookie here. Riley at it again. Haha! Our boy so not going to love this. I bet this little stunt was meant to be a private secret love one." He got on all sixes and ran to catch up with the little community traveling group. Finally catching up the red daemon was out of breath and couldn't announce anything.. Instead he just said. "So when is break time?" His sister rolled her eyes and replied still walking calmly beside Creed. "You can float. I dearly hope you know that." The red daemon grumbled and then raised from the ground and sat on Creed's neck making it look like he was riding a horse. Creed of course ignored them. He learned long ago, they were a waste of time. Creed however could not help that whenever the one riding his back spoke up to have a little shock. "Oh your stalker is stalking you." He stopped in mid-paw-step. His body went ridged. He didn't look behind him. He just moved his tail in warning to the she-wolf not to continue her path. Then he calmly re-setted his path once more letting the other interesting she-wolf lead him to a new playing field. He thoughts not focusing on the stalking she-wolf. But rather the results of her coming with him. If she was so good that the she-wolf leading him couldn't hear or smell her. Then Creed had to give Riley kodos.. One of these days.[/blockquote] //Note.. The daemons are from Lilo & Stitch looks the blue sister : Stitch The red: Rilo? whats that bad red one that was unbeatable? XD//

Shadow walked proudly and noblely, her midnight fur reflecting beautifully the light it caught. She was happy, now. Now that she had convinced herself that this was for the best. Velvet would surely reward her, and she'd be even more trusted and welcomed in the pack. Not that she had any troubles with that to begin with. She had those fools wrapped completely around her paw. She messed up in the Tribe of Darkness. She refused to repeat the past's mistakes here. She must be careful, play her cards wisely. Gian both Minlo's and Velvet's trust at the same time, make her way to be the favorite in both's eyes. Then, and only then, would her mission be anywhere near complete.
She paused for a moment, suspicious when her prisioner stopped, vigilant. Was there something out in the murky darkness that he had seen, and decided not to tell her. Had he been bait? Was there an invasion planned, while she was gloating over her newest victory? She stood now not in blissful victory, but in careful vigilance, scanning the surrounding darkness for any and every sign of threat. There seemed to be a wind playing with the trees... yet no breeze played upon her fur. An air elemental, perhaps? Yet they where rare, Shadow had never even seen one in her lifetime. However, perhaps just her suspicion should be reported to Vevlvet, when she brought in the prisioner.
Now near the densite, Shadow grew weary of the silent march, and was glad that she no longer had to carry this burden alone. If nothing else, Zmey and Akatsuki would come to her summons, and she was certain Velvet and Christa would also hear. She pointed her perfect snout towards the sky, letting lose a pure, holy note. Her song was meant to call in her companions and alphess, but it wasn't any less beautiful than her voice. After all, this was her song. One of her many prides. She turned to her lowly companion, mischeif dancing in her dead eyes. "Soon now, Velvet will decide what is to be done with you. Give her less of a hard time than you gave myself, and you might just get out with your life,"
