A long furred white and brown wolf walked calmly through the fields. She looked at all the grasses thinking how each on has an individual part and soul. Her body twitched as a cool win picked up from the north. Her heart started raising wishing for the comfort of a male she could easily tease and mess with. Then at the same as memories flashed into her mind of how many she wished just to keep things as they are. She felt dirty and wished it would rain to wash her clean.
She saw a stature in the distance she wondered of who it was. She had heard the myths of wolves being able to build things in the past. Though you hardly ever saw that sort of thing now. It seemed as if the art was lost with the element of earth. Then again the statue in the distance didn't even have to be a stature it could be a rock. That just happened to have a head of a wolf. Age can do odd things.
She suddenly felt drawn to the stature eer rock. She found herself heading toward it. All her focus fading form that of the grass to that of the edges of stone. As she drew nearer she noticed the rock grew in size. She began to wonder if it truly was a statue. She began to wonder if she could join with it. She felt shaken at the thought. What was she thinking? Join with a rock.. It seemed so lame she had to scoff at herself. Then she caught it.. The scent of wolves coming. She braced herself and looked aorund not sure from where. She immediately turned and ran back to the grasses hoping to hide her scent. She was still scared to run into her own pack. She wasn't ready to be found yet. She just couldn't get those horrid images out of her head.

I came to the Statue of Birth to calm my nerves. Heck, a meadow was always less scary than a tower full of booby traps, some of which would actually kill you if you triggered them. I quite enjoyed the smell of the meadow. Besides, the statue was the one thing I could really talk to. It wouldn't judge me, or tell me I'm not good enough. It would be silent and let me actually finish my sentences. It wouldn't give me advice that didn't help. The statue was very much my only true friend. And wow, that is pathetic. True story, though.
And that's when I heard something running, which, of course, made me jump. "Wh-wh-who's there?!" I asked. I hope I sounded loud and clear, but really, my voice was probably a squeak. Horrid, right? So much for being a fearsome dark wolf. Hopefully, my fear would go away as I got older. Now, I wish I could say I very bravely followed the sound I heard, or that I sniffed and tracked down whoever was making it. Instead, I just stood still, completely frozen in terror. The sad thing? I wasn't worried it was a deadly animal, which it probably was, but that it was one of the pack, catching me up after hours. Yup. I certainly have my priorities straight.

(Lida, this origionally was supposed to be a thread for Ging and me, but as she forgot to put the private tag on, you can stay and play with us. Just watch out, Ging can and will tie you up in order to reply.)
Coming from the holy lands, Eclipse and his companion Azrael moved with an air of tired excitement, and in Azreal's case, fear. Their conversation, if it could be called that, with Velvet and Christa. However, instead of going right away and investigating this creature, they had come back here for food and respite. Once they where fully rested from their journeying, then they would contemplate their next move.
Eclipse stood tall and noble as he caught sight of the pup, his ears pointed toward it. His red eyes narrowed, but he was not debating killing it or not. No, the killing of a pup was too cowardly even to consider. It had a few years to go yet, before it had to worry about Eclipe's deadly reputation. Azrael's reaction was much different, however. Her tail wagged, and she smiled at the pup, though she didn't stray from her travelmate's side. "Warren! What are you doing out here at such a late hour?" She asked, regarding the frightened pup in a friendly way, out of character for her.

//Oops.. ehh oh well.. maybe the pup'll be scared off *note to self torture Lida and self* // The she-wolf caught scents of more wolves and heard a barking that sounded as if coming from a she-wolf. Something sounding as if the wolf was complaining about another... snow began to wonder what.. She began to wonder who it is. She as stealthily as possible drew closer. Knowing all to well her scent could probably be smelled over the moor grasses. She noticed that there was three wolves near the statue. none have yet to see her. She figured that the two wolves were mother and father.. With the young wolf as a child. Then it didn't fit and she began to wonder if they were simply relatives...
She stayed in the grasses debating on wether to show herself or not. It would show that she was strong and can take on anyone. Though she felt that if they knew her pack they'll send word and probably send her back. She wasn't ready to go back. Those monsters still haunt her and she just left her family to die. Not to mention she had mated with many wolves afterward. She was unclean and very unhonorable and did not deserve a pack to call her own. She pulled back her ears at teh thoughts running through her mind.. She hated not being strong and brave and well one of honor. Then she had easily manipulated males with her soft fur and voice.

"Azzie!" I shouted in response, smiling and bounding toward her, until I saw the wolf with her, which made me freeze. "U-ummm...h-hi..." I looked from Eclipse to Azreal, wondering what to do. "Uhhh...y-you know I g-get scared, sleeping in the tower...B-besides, I k-kept having n-nightmares..." I looked down, ashamed. I couldn't stop having nightmares about Shadow lately. Nightmares about what would have happened if Azrael hadn't stepped in and saved me. I would dream very graphically, and I could barely manage not to scream.
"S-so, it was you I heard running around, wasn't it?" I asked, wagging my tail. Of course it had to be her, right? Even though the sound was coming from a completely different direction, right? "What are you doing here?" I couldn't help but grin. "Surely you didn't come all this way to see me!" When I looked directly at her, I wasn't afraid, but when I caught a glimpse of Eclipse, I couldn't help but freeze up. He just had this thing about him, like he would murder me in my sleep if I wasn't so young. So, I concentrated on looking Azzie in the eye, even though I could swear I smelled someone else's presence.

Azrael smiled at the pup. There was something about his adorable innocence that brought out that last thread of Kitsune in her, that last shred of kindness. "No, we're here to sleep, and hunt. We've been walking a long time," She said, unaware that while Eclipse had brought her to one of his favorite places to rest, it was inside pack territory. She licked the pup's head, a rare movement of kindess not usually shown in harsh Azrael. "Oh, you don't know Eclipse. I travel with him, and don't worry. He won't harm pups," She said. She didn't mention the fact that if Eclipse lived long enough to cross paths with an older Warren, he would be killed. Nope, best not mention that to little frightened Warren.
Eclipse looked down at the pup, not particularly impressed. He looked easily scared, too easily. That was weak cowardice in his crimson eyes. Still, the mention of running clicked in Eclipse's mind for some reason. His ear twitched, and his head darted, now looking in the direction of the moor grasses. He had heard something, he knew. He moved towards the noise, and the scent of strange wolf grew stronger. His eyes narrowed. There was little things he disliked more than an evesdropper. "Come out, whoever you are, or face my wrath," He growled. True, it seemed a little cliche, but his raising fur and the fangs his lips rose to expose got the message across. He was not to be messed with, nor taken for a fool.

The she-wolf realized the pup was just that a pup from another place. It was obvious that the pup was not the two travelers. Yet one of them knew the pup for some reason. She guessed they must came from the same place.. Possibly one of the tribes. She on not leaving her spot till they leave when suddenly she was pointed out.
Raising her head looking as if she was an alpha herself she came out of the moor tall grasses and showed her white and brown pelt clearly. She walked up to the traveling duo and well cute pup. One that she instantly liked for one reason or another. She noticed that the male was very stiff and she wondered if she could possibly loosen him up. May get her the edge up. "Face my wrath? That's the best you have? Hmm... How about I don't?"
She drew closer to him going under his chin and kept moving till her very tip slapped his nose. She turned back around to dare them to attack her. Her body standing in a stance that'll allow any male near by see her beauty and curves. She spoke once more. "So one cannot travel without being threatened? Is that it?" Her voice speaking in out most clarity it always has. Very sweet and crystal clear. Her light green eyes moving from the she-wolf to the pup and ending to the male of the group. The one who was obviously meant to be feared. She held his gaze wondering his secrets and trying to see past the harsh strong walls.[/blockquote]

"Oh, I see," I said. "I hope you get plenty of both." I wagged my tail, and blushed when Azrael licked my forehead. It was a sign of affection I have never received before, and I liked it a little too much to not be a little embarrassed by it.
"Y-you're sure he won't harm pups?" I asked, looking at Eclipse. He hadn't said anything. I trembled and looked back at Azzie. "Oh, I mean, of course he wouldn't! He looks...warm. And cuddly." I was going to say more, when Eclipse suddenly spoke, making me jump. "Eek! O-okay, m-maybe he's n-not c-c-cuddly..." I whimpered. He looked down-right intimidating. But, of course, I'm the only one who's freaked out. Heck, even the one who revealed herself under threat of his wrath wasn't as scared as I was, and she was the one he would actually hurt. Why am I the only one with the sense to be scared of something that could literally bite your head off? I listened to the she-wolf and looked at her closely. sniffing her scent. That smell...
"You smell like you're from my pack!" I said excitedly as soon as she finished what she said. What? It was true. Although...I blushed from embarrassment. "B-but...I-I've never s-seen you b-before..." I kinda slunk away, looking at Eclipse. "I-if you harm h-her, the wh-whole pack will...w-will...j-just don't hurt her." I averted my eyes and shook, wondering why I had never seen this fae before if she was part of the Gurando pack.

Eclipse was taken by surprise. Yes, he was tired and obviously braindead to be using a line as unnoble as 'face my wrath', but that didn't mean he was unable to carryout the threat. He growled, not particularly liking her closeness. She behaved as if she where in heat, but Eclipse had no interest in her. He sneered at the fae, not in a particularly good mood. "When one travels alone, they must expext to be threatened and challanged. It is the life of the loner," He said, and turned to look at Azrael, head cocked in a silent question. One of the reasons he chose her as his travelling partner was for her inhuman ability to judge others.
The young brown wolf looked up from her puppy friend, blinking. She moved her maw to the black wolf's ear, whispering, "She needs attention. Esecially male attention," She looked away, smiling at Warren again. Poor pup. Knowing Eclipse, he would soon witness something that would scar his tiny heart forever. "Warren, there is no use asking Eclipse that. Pups have nothing to fear from him, but that is not true for others," She said, stating fact.

She ignored most of the pup's talking.. Well.. Until he caught her scent and pointed out she was one of his pack. He stance broke itself slightly and she glared at the pup. She wasn't sure how to respond. There was no point telling the pup the horrors of watching your family die by a beast. There was no point saying the dishonor of them risking their lives and you being a coward. She held the glare and then looked away back to Eclipse and his girlfriend. Who were both sharing some sort of small conversation. She didn't bother to listen to it. The conversation probably went along the lines that she was a crazy female nuthead. That she was probably an outcast who is on someone Else's territory.
When suddenly the she-wolf spoke to the pup. The she-wolf looked at the other she-wolf deciding whether to comment on that or not. She decided not to say a word and watch the three wolves interact. They may just leave her behind and not challenge where she came from. It was obvious the one named, Eclipse, was obviously not a fool. Along with his obvious mate.

"B-b-but...sh-she's..." I started to argue feebly. And that's when the she-wolf glared at me. I shivered and choked on my words. How could she already hate me so much? What on earth did I do? I didn't mean to offend her...
"I'm sorry! Whatever I did, I'm so sorry!" I blurted. Yeah...that was sure to make her stop hating me. Especially if she thought me a coward, which I was. Shivering again, I summoned all my courage and looked her in the eye. "I...didn't mean to insult you. I can see why you'd think that, though. Anyone would be insulted to be in a pack with me." I whimpered. It was so true what I said. So true. I turned back to Azzie.
"Ummm...Please, if you can keep Eclipse from hurting her, I'd be grateful...I-I mean...I know it's no use, but...she's...in my pack." My voice came out soft. I didn't even know why I was still requesting that Eclipse not hurt her. It was obvious she hated me. She wasn't thankful for anything I was doing for her. In fact, she wasn't even speaking. All she did was glare at me. Then again, she wasn't treating me any worse than my other pack-mates. How sad is that?
