Soaring around the mountian, her heart couldn't help but saor along with her body. She couldn't help it. Her hope was to meet her Brother In Flight, a friend which she could trust. One she wouldn't be plauged by fear at the sight of him, or her. For now, though, she simply enjoyed the feeling of flight. While at first it had taken her awhile to get used to, flight was now the most enjoyable thing to her. She loved the feel of wind flowing through her fur like water, lifting her into the sky on invisible bonds. Her tail waved through the sky like a banner, comparable in sight to a sea snake's own tail, pushing him through the water.
Still, her soon empty lungs reminded her that she was not truely born to fly, as she liked to pretend. She ducked into a dive, falling beautifully, pulling up a few yards before crashing into hard stone. Frome there she gently lighted herself down on the rock, and observed the birds flying about, wondering which one would come forward to challange her. Whichever one it was, she promised herself she'd face it with all her heart. She knew that there was no way she could ever be honored with a Brother in Flight unless she shoed him her heart.

{Zone-tailed}Zarakari{Hawk} [/b] Everyone was awfully quiet that night. The birds that lived on the peak, perching and sleeping almost every one of them on the rotten trees. Even though it was the beginning of spring, this mountain would stay the same, snow covering the ground and the trees the birds perched on would always be bare and empty as they waited the next wolf to try and prove themselves to them. Yet, the silence there, stayed like that when the wolf showed up.
Zarakari fluttered his eyes open, the Zone-tailed Hawk watched as the wolf came to the top. It was obvious she wasn't a non air elemented wolf. Yet, He himself acted differently around each and every soul he met. He spread out his wings, gliding down from his perch and landing in front of the wolf. "State you name. Wolf." He asked or rather ordered.

Harumi looked at the hawk as he landed in front of her, taking a short moment to admire him before answering. He was dark in color, blending into the night, with lighter flight feathers, and white bars on his tail. He had a proud, warrior air to him, something that made shy Harumi a bit nervous, but she had promised herself. She would do this, even if it killed her. The way he barked at her to speak her name... was she so sure she wanted to do this? Yes, I must! If I cannot befriend my own kind, I must get the closest thing to it! And that a Brother in Flight. "My name is Harumi, the artist. To whom do I owe this pleasure?" She said, trying to be polite. She knew she would be tested, she just wasn't sure exactly how at the moment. Perhaps this would be her Brother in Flight? Only if you prove yourself, Harumi. You must prove yourself!

Zarakari
The bird listened, to the way she talked, the way she moved. He wasn't just a Zone-tailed hawk he was one of the few birds who had air as an element just as these wolves could have. Except their power was more limited, one spell was all they could use. He wanted to test her strength, and intelligence at the same time, his one spell was especially good for that. He blinked at her and backed up, flapping his wins continuously at her, until a large wall of air was surrounding her, then the whole entire scene changed.
No longer a peak of a mountain, it was more of a endless tall grassland. With a petrified tree next to the wolf where Zarakai was perched. He clicked his beak at her, "Consider this a test, failing can cost you dearly." He had ignored her request for his name, yet soon enough he was no where to be seem and left the wolf in this strange tall grass which seemed to have no end to it.

"Oooh, dear gods," Harumi whispered. The bird had created a large grassland around her, and she wasn't sure of what to do. walking in any direction seemed to be pointless, as the grassland went on and on. Flying? She wasn't so sure that that would work any better. She could paint herself something to help her, but she had no dyes. So... She hated it, but if it was the only way to earn her Brother in Flight, she would do it, if not gladly. "Hanabi... Please help me," She said, and beside her a grey wolf appeared, transparent, a ghost. He looked young and noble, but his eyes held a deserate, slightly insane light.
He giggled in a strange way, looking affectionately at his former friend and soul mate. "Well, my dear, this is your quest. In life I wouldn't cheat for you. Now it is the same way. Farewell," With that, Hanabi walked off, taking his time in leaving. Come to think of it, he wasn't just fading like he usually did. Instead, he walked. "Hey, wait!" Harumi trotted after him, but was startled when he disappeared, and she ram into a wall of air. A wall of air? Then.. this must be an illusion. The question now is, how do I get out?
Harumi sat, staring ahead at what seemed to be open space, but when she placed her paw there, it came upon a wall. A wall of air. So, what are the atributes of air? They move in currents. Air elemented wolves can bend the air to their will, so that must be what this is. So.. Air currents bent to the bird's will? This still did not help Harumi at all. She didn't know how to get out. "I don't suppose I could get a hint?" She called out, not really expecting an answer. After all, he had never answered with his name.
Sighing, she raised her wings, brining them in a sharp downstroke that lifted her in the air. This wasn't really fair. She was a custom-element artist, not an air-element air bender. She didn't know this stuff! She periodically tested the wall as she flew striaght up, but it was solid, and curve as she flew, showing that it was a sort of dome. She flew in a circular motion at the top, trying to catch sight of anything on the ground to help her.

The grassland dome reacted funny to when the wolf hit the walls. It was as if the grassland was more then just an illusion. A shadow kept flying over the wolf but wasn't slow enough for her to catch the shape in her eyes. Then about five or six of the shadows landed in front of her. By the looks of it they were completely made out of shadows. In the form of birds about the size of ravens.
The shadows didn't make a sound and inched towards the wolf. Their glowing red eyes watching her slowley. They made a slight hissing noise but didn't make and attempt to move anywhere.
